主編《海洋生物技術和原理》和《海洋生物技術新進展》專著2部;主編《海洋生物學》教材1本,參編(副主編)《發育生物學》和《細胞工程學》教材2本;應邀參編英文專著《Reproductive Biology and Phylogeny of Fishes》、《Advances in Comparative Immunology》和《Oocytes Maternal Information and Functions》3本。已發表SCI收錄論文200余篇。證明文昌魚肝盲囊與脊椎動物肝臟具有同源性,發現文昌魚存在類似脊椎動物的垂體-肝臟軸和垂體-甲狀腺軸;首次報道肝臟特異性蛋白卵黃蛋白原和高磷蛋白具有免疫功能,被國外同行認為是“new findings”、“novel observations”和“novelties”。已獲國家科技發明二等獎1項、山東省自然科學一等獎1項、教育部自然科學一等獎1項和國家海洋局海洋創新成果一等獎1項。
