任何時候?qū)W習(xí)單詞都應(yīng)該有區(qū)分、有重點(diǎn)地學(xué)習(xí)。而且考研大綱對于不同的2016考研詞匯往往有不同的要求，比如有的詞只要知其義，有的詞則要求掌握其搭配和用法，考生要有針對性的復(fù)習(xí)。

★ haste

n.急忙，急速，草率

v.趕快，匆忙

【例1】The more haste, the less speed.欲速則不達(dá)。

【例2】Susan hasted to explain why she was late. Susan急急忙忙地解釋她為什么遲到了。

【同義替換】hurry

【派生】hasty a.匆忙的，倉促的，草率的  hasten v.急忙，趕快；催促，促進(jìn)

【真題】Some have breathed sighs of relief, others, including churches, right-to-life groups and the Australian Medical Association, bitterly attacked the bill and the haste of its passage.一些人如釋重負(fù)，另一些人，包括教會、生命權(quán)利組織以及澳大利亞醫(yī)學(xué)會成員都對這一決議及其倉促的通過進(jìn)行了猛烈的抨擊。

★ remnant

n.剩余（物），零料；遺跡，遺風(fēng)

a.剩余的，殘留的

【例1】Emily is biting a piece of crust, the remnant of her breakfast. Emily正在啃一片干面包，那是她早餐吃剩下的。

【例2】The archaeologists are looking for the remnant of an old city.那些考古學(xué)家在尋找一座古城的遺跡。

【例3】The beautiful certain is made of remnant materials.這個漂亮的窗簾是用零布頭做的。

【同義替換】remains, leftover

★ forecast

v./n.預(yù)測，預(yù)報

【例】According to the weather forecast, it will be sunny tomorrow.天氣預(yù)報說明天是晴天。

【構(gòu)詞】fore-（先，前）+cast（拋）→預(yù)先拋出→預(yù)測

【同義替換】predict, divine, portend, bode

【真題】However, there are still no forecasts for when faster-than-light travel will be available, or when human cloning will be perfected, or when time travel will be possible.然而，對于何時能夠進(jìn)行超光速旅行，何時人類克隆技術(shù)得到完善，何時時間旅行成為可能，仍沒有預(yù)言。

★ criterion

n.標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，尺度

【例】Success in making money is not always a good criterion of success in life.能掙錢并不一定總是衡量人生幸福的可靠標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。

【構(gòu)詞】crit（判斷）+erion→判斷的依據(jù)→標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，準(zhǔn)則

【同義替換】standard, gauge, formula, norm, touchstone

★ dominate

v.支配，統(tǒng)治，控制；占優(yōu)勢

【例1】She dominated the meeting by sheer force of character.她單憑個人氣勢就鎮(zhèn)住了會場。

【例2】Price tends to dominate all other considerations.首先考慮的往往是價格問題。

【構(gòu)詞】domin（支配）+-ate（做）→支配，統(tǒng)治

【同義替換】govern, control, administrate, rule; preponderate, prevail

【派生】domination n.支配，控制  dominative a.統(tǒng)治的；占優(yōu)勢的

黎巴嫩作家紀(jì)伯倫曾經(jīng)說過：你不能同時又有青春又有關(guān)于青春的知識。因為青春忙于生活，而顧不得去了解；而知識為著要生活，而忙于自我尋求。很多人在考研復(fù)習(xí)的時候既想獲得“知識”，又想活得很“青春”，最后往往是兩敗俱傷。
