主要研究方向為腫瘤相關的信號轉導與分子機制,重點研究 JAK-STATs 、NFkB等信號轉導關鍵分子到調控機制及其與腫瘤形成的關系、腫瘤耐藥性關鍵分子的發現與分子機制、STATs、NFkB、IRFs 等轉錄因子的生物學功能、翻譯后加工修飾與基因表達調控的分子機制。與 Case Western Reserve University、Lerner Research Institute、甘肅省計算中心、中國科學院上海生物化學與細胞生物學研究所合作建立了高通量藥物篩選平臺和重大疾病分子診斷技術平臺,項目得到甘肅省科技廳及科技部國際合作項目的連續支持,目前已經建立了基于 NFkB、STAT3 、p53、Wnt 與 PPARs 等信號通路為靶點的抗腫瘤、抗動脈粥樣硬化藥物篩選平臺,并將該項技術應用于化學小分子庫和中藥有效成分的高通量篩選中,用以篩選機理清晰、靶點明確、特異性高的抗腫瘤與動脈粥樣硬化的先導化合物與藥物。
